About Our Family Farm
Bernard Family Farm is in Southern Illinois, southeast of Mt. Vernon. We can be easily accessed from Route 37. We are a fifth generation farming family. "The Farm" has been through many transitions throughout it's 100+ years of existence. It began with John Baptist Bernard and Williard Bernard. Crop farming on a small scale as was traditional at that time. As time went on Paul and Erma Lee Bernard would add a Dairy and Commercial Egg Production while acquiring more land. The family would continue with this tradition throughout the next generation with Paul Lee Bernard. Currently Jeffrey Bernard crop farms the land as his family has for generations and wife Elizabeth and daughters Mica and Tabatha raise Alpacas, Babydoll Southdown Sheep and English Angora Rabbits for fiber.
